Breakfast was great and we felt very welcome in a positive environment, right next to the Sahara desert. The spa area is great. My best hotel experience in Tunisia so far, we even extended our stay. This place is a hidden gem! The hosts were amazing. We were made to feel welcome from the minute we stepped onto the property. The hosts speak a number of languages and were a great source of knowledge and information. They were the friendliest hosts we had for our entire trip. We felt at home here straight away. Our room was simple but very spacious, clean and comfortable. There was a full-sized fridge plus enough pots and cutlery. There was a bedroom, an ensuite and a separate living area with the kitchen in it. The large pool was a huge bonus when it was so hot. All up it was great value. Thank you!

Beautiful dunes in the Sahara desert, authentic tents which were comfy and had electricity. Brilliant staff who put on an excellent evening with traditional music, dance, horse dancing and cooking. A campfire to sit and watch the stars. This was a truly unique stay that you must try! I would pay a lot more for this experience, it really exceeded expectations.

We also had dinner one night and the food was homemade and local, cooked by one of his sisters, it was delicious. We had a great stay in Douz at Dar Alibaba, we would definitely recommend it.
