It’s a private property in Koh Munnork Island. Very peaceful island and beautiful. It’s perfect place to escape from the city. All the staff are very friendly. I didn’t expect about the food in the hotel. Since we don’t have a choice to eat somewhere else but the food was delicious.

No AC but it didn’t matter as the design of the place meant that there was a nice breeze throughout so it wasn’t too hot ( not sure how it would be when the weather is really hot though.) The bedroom windows were open wooden slats with no glass so you could hear the sea and everything around. The host was great and left a gift of fresh crab and fruit. Fabulous place that I would highly recommend if you want to switch off from the bustle of life.

Tree Roots Retreat is a peaceful spot just a short walk from the beach. Our room was spacious, quiet, and had a lovely view of the pool and garden. Carol and Denis, who manage the retreat, were incredibly welcoming and gave us great tips on what to do in the area. The staff were always friendly and helpful, which made our stay even better. There’s so much to explore nearby, beautiful beaches, great restaurants and bars, local markets, and even Ko Samet island. We especially loved Kai Seafood, a restaurant on the beach just a few minutes away by walk. The retreat has everything you need to relax, like a pool, billiards, and ping pong. Renting a motorbike is a great way to explore the area. We had a wonderful time and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend! Thank you for everything! ❤️ Lots of love !
