Set in a castle on the banks of Mosel River, Hôtel Château Schengen is located 15 km from Luxembourg's centre. The hotel is surrounded by castle gardens and parks. Beautiful setting. Friendly, helpful staff. Spotlessly glean. We travelled with our 2 dogs. Our room on the first floor ( there is a lift but we used the beautiful staircase) and was spacious and had hard flooring. Breakfast was delicious. Great views of the river and gardens

Nothing was missing that was needed (ie. fully equipped kitchen). The host pays attention to detail. Also we really enjoyed the cosy balcony. The surrounding is very peaceful and quiet. It's located just a few minutes walk from the riverside. The host is very helpful and nice, you can count on her help and information about the area.

The service was very good and the staff spoke good english. Dogs are welcomed to the hotel, which is an extra plus, not many places in the area allow dogs and also compared to other places in the area the price was very good. The staff were considerate with our furry friend and gave us a bigger room so we all fit. We didn't expect that kind of service and were very surprised with the room that was more like a flat with it's own bedroom and living room, very spacy and with nice view. The breakfast was modest, but it was enough. The surrounding area is quiet, not many restaurants, but the Hotel has its own restaurant. Can't say anything about that, since we didn't eat there. There is a nice park in the area to have a stroll at, and very close to the Mondorf SPA.
