Morio and his wife are such amazing people…They will do everything they can to accommodate your needs to the fullest! They are always so thoughtful and they always ask you questions about your day to see if they can help you in any way possible to make your day even better. I am currently pregnant and they would always be careful with what they cook for breakfast so that it is nutritious, well cooked, and consistent, from soup to first course, to second course, to dessert and fruits… it was really amazing! Best breakfast I had in Japan! And everyday was something different! Now, the rooms… the rooms are amazing! If you want a true Japanese experience, you will definitely get it here. From the tatami floors, to the futon beds, to the kotatsu table and the beautiful view… everything was perfect. The location is also very good since you are close to the bus station and some amazing traditional restaurants/onsens. All in all, this experience was one I will never forget. And if I ever go back to Kyoto, I will definitely book again a room at their place! Thank you Morio and Yoshiko!

The staff are true locals from Kyoto and can expertly recommend tourist spots and travel times. They also suggested some delicious restaurants for me.
