There really is no other place like it. The over 100 year old villa built on an even older foundation part of which you can see in the dining area with its cool stone walls complete with a wine cellar is full of charm and beauty. Each room is filled with an eclectic assortment of objets d’art and each area has its own unique atmosphere. We visited with a fairly large family group and we all found a room in the 3 bed room apartment which spoke to our individual tastes. Even during the extreme summer heat the sleeping areas were cool and airy. The kitchen in our area was basic and charming with a beautiful little terrace which could be open to let in the breeze. I really enjoyed hanging out in the kitchen and cooking. The house is surrounded by a sculpture gardens filled with the proprietor’s own work, adding to the beauty and mystery of the lush surroundings. The pool is cool and clean and has a beautiful view of the house, garden and woods. It was heaven for my 9 and 5 year old kids and in turn for my wife and me. I really can’t overstate how much we enjoyed our stay and we look forward to returning some day. The highlight was really the hospitality warmth and helpfulness of the hosts, Giovanni and Agnes. They were warm, helpful and welcoming but allowed us plenty of space to feel at home. Giovanni was extremely helpful with tips for side trips and amazing dining suggestions in the area and Florence. They even spotted us some pasta when the stores were closed for a holiday :) My kids loved the dog. Wonderful place, wonderful people a rare and memorable experience.

It was so beautiful. We all felt so warm and cozy and were so well taken care of by our host. Breakfast was outstanding and catered to our tastes.

We absolutely loved our two week stay and will return next year. We loved the house, the terrace of the house with stunning views, we absolutely loved the location, the vast olive orchards, the forrest around , the peace and quiet, the pool, the lake with the geese and ducks and a heron. The host was kind, helpful a d very responsive. The farm's olive and wine were amazing too. There is a restaurant nearby that the host recommended that had great food. We stayed with our pets, the whole environment is very pet friendly which we hugely appreciate. We made a couple of day trips to San Gimignano and Voltera. Both beautiful places. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay and will return again.

Sabina the host was excellent, it was like having your own local guide. If we had any questions she was always easy to contact and very helpful. The views were incredible what you would expect when staying in the Tuscan hills. The house was very clean and had everything you needed. Would recommend staying in this lovely place.
