Helpful staff , I came for Andrea bocelli concert, location of the hotel was great , next to the information center and touristic areas , shuttle bus to the concert was 1 minute away , hotel area is very vibrant which I loved, as a solo woman traveler hotel was in a safe area and secure .

Set in the historic centre of Volterra, Hotel La Locanda offers classic rooms with free Wi-Fi. The Roman Theatre and Porta Fiorentina Gate are a short walk away. Great location, great services, very good breakfast, very kind people, very nice room/hotel. They informed us that the hotel is in the old town, therefore they do not have private parking. However, they send us all details related to the parking places near the location (there is free parking near the hotel, but you have to take into account that you have to climb about 100 stairs to the hotel.).

Very friendly and interesting host. The location is ideal, as Pisa’s walls are 20’ away by car and the village of Calci with the Certosa is nearby. The River Arno is very close.

We had coffee, tea, full kitchen for our disposal. Despite late arrival we had amazing food left in the kitchen: bread, some coockies, olive oil they produce, home made pomegranate jam, lavender honey, eggs from their chicken. There were also homemade lavender products left to buy - I purchased the candle. The place is very clean with nice vanity products fro Idea Toscana company - very nice, local touch. All info was printed and left for us in our language - we were moved by this. Wish we had stayed there longer than one night. Great place to come for longer relaxing holiday.

The welcome gift was a nice touch and the free breakfast was great. There was a corner cafe that had a good variety of drinks and food. There were restaurants near the apartment which were great too and the grocery store was close. There are a couple of bus stops nearby that are only a few minutes and you can get anywhere in town or take the walk (about 30 minutes) to the tower which we did after our breakfast. We took the bus from Pisa Central and it dropped us off right around the corner. Only about 5-10 minutes bus ride and a 2 minute walk from the bus stop. There were plenty of plates and utensils for my family of 6 and plenty of space for us. Water was warm during our showers and overall a pleasant experience. The host provided different options for food and was also very attentive and helpful throughout our stay.

There are 2 bedrooms in 2 separate rooms, 1 kitchen, 1 toilet and all the equipments. I asked for 2 extra blankets and host gave us right in the next day. Our plan is to stay 1 night but we decided to spend 2 nights here cause everything is so lovely and relaxing.
