The place is very well located, just a few minutes walk to the old town. The room with the terrace we booked had an amazing view. The hosts were helpful and suggested a good parking place close by.

The location was tricky to get to, but that is not the hotel's fault. They are accessible only by foot due to the way the ancient town was built. I received excellent recommendations from the hotel about parking for our rental car. There is a secure parking building about 15 minutes walk away that cost 20 euro per day, although this is not the only option. The reception staff were excellent and organised for our luggage to be taken to our room - much appreciated considering the cobbled paths around the hotel. The room was large, quiet and well appointed. The included continental breakfast was adequate and the spa facilities were a nice addition.

Casa Blanca Matera offers accommodation in Matera, at walking distance from the Sassi di Matera area, a UNESCO World Heritage site. WiFi is free throughout. Everything is perfect. It’s a neat, clean and cozy nest. The place is renovated and decorated with taste, the old stone and carved ceilings are fantastic. Nicola takes good care of you, including a complete explanation of how to tour properly the city. The location is perfect, few hundred meters and you’re strolling along the cobblestone streets. Will come back!

Offering a barbecue and children's playground, Agriturismo Nonna Rosa is set in Matera, 12 minutes' drive from the Matera Sassi UNESCO World Heritage Site. Great location close to the centre. Very clean and new rooms were provided. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious.

Featuring free WiFi and a terrace, Masseria Torre Spagnola is set in a historic 16th-Century building, 9 km from Matera. Free private parking is available on site. Although the hotel is not located directly in the historic center of Matera, it’s only a 15-minute drive away, making it very convenient. What really surprised us was that the entire hotel was converted from a tower over 500 years old — yet it doesn’t feel old at all. The facilities are excellent and of high quality. Breakfast was abundant, and the staff were all incredibly warm and welcoming. A wonderful stay overall!

Offering free parking and free Wi-Fi, the modern Bhotel features a large garden with a tennis court. It is located in the Basilicata town of Lagonegro, just off the A3 motorway exit. Good mountain location. Must be perfect for skiing holiday. Comfortable rooms!
