He took us on a walking tour to one of the smaller and less visited villages. For us and the kids this was the highlight of our visit. He also arranged the transportation to our next destination. The house is located just outside the bustling town centre, which is only a 10 minute walk, and the roof terrace has great views over the surroundings.

In addition to being an amazingly cozy and inviting atmosphere, she also explained her larger vision of reducing environmental impact (particularly on trash and water usage) and training local women as employees at a fair wage. Could not give a stronger recommendation for this hostel!

Offering a year-round outdoor pool and located at the edge of Lake Atitlán, Hotel Toliman is set in San Lucas Tolimán in the Solola Region, 45 km from Antigua Guatemala. Gorgeous. The rooms were spotless. Grounds were beautiful. Included breakfast delicious. We visited other towns around the lake and I loved how mellow Toliman, the town itself, was. Yea - it takes a while to explore from here but to us, that was great! It made for less of a touristy/party vibe like the other towns had. The hotel itself was perfect - Highly recommend. Would definitely stay here again.

Atitlan Sunset Lodge Apartments are located on the shores of Lake Atitlan in Santa Cruz La Laguna and boast excellent volcano views. Free Wi-Fi and kayak use are provided at this property. The view was spectacular and the place huge and comfortable.

Hotel Atitlan, located in front of Lake Atitlán, is a rustic-style property offering extensive gardens and panoramic views of Atitlan Lake. It has an outdoor pool, hot tub, and a botanical garden. It is a beautiful hotel with a fantastic view on the lake and the volcanoes. Quiet places give you the possibility to rest and the garden also allows you to walk, relax and enjoy flowers and birds around. The personnel are very kind and patient. Rooms are clean, comfortable and the view is very nice.
