Dawn and Chris’s attention to detail was incredible - from the thoughtful and thorough check in to the beautiful breakfast basket delivered to our room. The room itself was very comfortable, and tastefully decorated. The yard and grounds really made this stay above and beyond - the alpacas are so cute and there’s plenty of lovely places to walk. Highly recommend as a stop after a long drive, or even as a destination in and of itself!

Ilse & Dennis were wonderful hosts, and looked after us with great style. We opted for the 1/2 board package, and we're very impressed with both the breakfast and evening meal options. Our en suite room was lovely, and had a very comfortable bed, separate shower room and toilet facilities. There is a great variety of pets and livestock, giving a bustling feel to the property. We had booked in for 2 visits, either side of a trip down to Bordeaux, and would definitely return on another occasion.

For me, it's a fantastic self-contained cottage. Gizelle is lovely, and nothing is too much trouble. The location is superb for me travelling to Southern Spain, Granada. My dog loves it too! Ideal for him as country lanes to walk nearby & very quiet. It's extremely warm in winter. Breakfast is really good. If you're careful & plan your route, you can avoid tolls!! Head to Poitiers on the route map first & then key in Eurotunnel, Calais. The drive takes you through beautiful little villages where you can stop off for coffee & a bite to eat. Plenty of history in the area & Melle town is only 4 minutes away. The ladies in the bread shop were extremely friendly. I didn't explore Melle as it was too cold & we'd had a long drive, so I just rested & caught up on sleep I need to re study French, though!! Xxx.

From the moment we arrived at Maison Le trèfle we couldn’t have been made more welcome and the hosts went out of the way to make our stay more comfortable. The facilities were fantastic in the apartment and the bed so comfy!!! We will definitely be revisiting on our travels back & highly recommend this accommodation.
