Beautiful location, plenty of space to sleep, relax, have meals plus great views. Very helpful staff that visited the house while we were away and prepared fireplace for us after we used wood the day before. Perfect location to explore Savegre forest and this area. In the cottage we found a contact to very good, profesional birdwatching guide.

I love that there was a guard in the front. The staff was very friendly and very sweet.

Great location for hikes in all directions, setting in a beautiful garden, absolutely quiet. The hosts treat you like family. We stayed there before (in double room in the garden) and after (in the suite which is actually the former home of the founder of JS) our Chirripo trip. Internet was working pretty good even for streaming movies (with some interruptions). Don’t miss the garden tour and the mirador in the upper part, you get a good view on the dimension of your 1st Chirripo day as well as on Cerro Ventisqueros, the second highest mountain of Costa Rica. Also nice to watch birds.

The en-suite washer/dryer was also a very convenient feature before my flight back home. In addition, the Host was super-responsive with all of our questions.
