Really enjoyed our short stay in the Bauernhof Moadl. Located at the top of a mountain hill away from all the hustle and bustle of the city. You can see a big part of the Attersee from the road to the apartment. If you are an astronomy enthusiast (which I'm too), this is a good place to observe the night sky unobstructed of light pollution. I could even see a part of the Milky way in the morning. There is an observatory nearby but I'm not sure if it's accessible to the public. The host is a kind lady who speaks English.

Set in the vicinity of the Attersee Lake, Gasthof Steinbichler provides accommodation with a free sauna and à la carte restaurant serving Austrian cuisine. Very nice staff, upgraded the room for free as we were out of the busy season
