I truly recommend House of Freedom. It is a perfect place if you want to experience the local culture and see how the locals live. I've spent 24 hours with Isuru. We had a trip around Bundala, a motor night safari and morning birds watching. Additionally lunch in his family house and evening barbecue. The house and room are humble, but everything is clean and the hospitality is amazing. The sourounding is breathtaking. No tourists around. It was an unfargetable experience!

The location was just perfect. We felt like being in the middle of nature. Cows entering the property to bring fresh milk in the morning. Endless of different all around the property. But the room was very clean and pretty much sealed towards critters. The owner did everything possible to make it a wonderful stay. Very good breakfast!

We had a fantastic stay. We arrived and were warmly welcomed. Our room was ready and it looked great. We had a room with sea view. We were immediately offered a beer on arrival and in the evening the host prepared fresh fish, shrimps, chips and rice for us. One of the best dishes we've had in Sri Lanka. The accommodation is located directly at sea, so you have a lot of peace here. The host is very helpful and will make your stay comfortable.

It is a simple hotel that does everything it needs. The host makes a delicious buffet lunch every day. I used this hotel because I had to get up early in the morning to go to Bundala National Park.

We didn't sleep at the cabin because there was a problem with the booking but the host did everything to organise a place to sleep. We had 2 wonderful safaris on a motorbike and Danushka was an amazing guide with a lot knowledge. We could take a look at the cabin and it was a wonderful place with great view and a pond nearby.

The owner would give it an 11 out of 10 if he could. The amount of heart he put into our stay, showing us the nearest area (few hours) and finally taking us to a religious festival with his family is worth every penny. This was probably my best stay ever - highly recommended if you want to understand local life and the beauty of harmony.

The hoster help us to organize very quickly the Yala Safari but also our depart to Ella. He investigated several bus schedules making our trip much easier. The location is great with a nice view from the balcony to the rice fields. Recomended!
