The Property & Location The location is simply breathtaking—a huge area surrounded by nature, making it the ideal getaway for those looking to unwind and immerse themselves in tranquility. Despite its peaceful seclusion, it’s just a stone’s throw away from the famous Polonnaruwa ruins, allowing us to explore the rich history of the area and return to a relaxing oasis. The swimming pool was another highlight—crystal-clear, well-maintained, and not too deep, making it perfect for both beginners and those just looking to relax. We spent hours simply floating, soaking in the serene atmosphere, and enjoying the natural beauty surrounding us. Accommodation & Comfort Our room was spotless, with a perfectly functioning air conditioner that kept us cool in the tropical heat. The bathroom was pristine, with clean, well-maintained toilets and showers—a true testament to the attention to detail and high standards maintained by the team. It’s clear that the staff here take great pride in ensuring every corner of the property remains immaculate. An Unforgettable Breakfast Experience One of the absolute highlights of our stay was the delicious breakfast included in our booking. Guests have the choice of a European or Sri Lankan breakfast, and as a German-Sri Lankan couple, we opted for the authentic Sri Lankan spread—a decision we’ll never regret!

We are a family from the UK who visited Sri Lanka for a holiday. While searching for a good apartment or villa near the temples and relics in the Polonnaruwa area, we came across this little gem. Pearl White was one of only two properties available for our chosen dates. At first, we were a bit hesitant to book, as it was a recently listed property with just two reviews, both from local visitors. However, I decided to reach out to the property, and I was able to connect directly with the owner, Sisira. He was kind enough to explain the facilities in detail and share valuable insights about the place. Our conversation gave us a very good understanding and helped build our confidence in choosing Pearl White over the other options. It turned out to be a fantastic decision! We thoroughly enjoyed our two-night stay and we booked the entire villa. The location is excellent, very close to the town centre and major heritage sites. The villa itself is spacious, cozy, and exceptionally clean from the beds and linen to the toilets. Everything was well-maintained. We found every little convenience available, from matchboxes and a lit barbecue to massage bathtubs. I highly recommend this property without any hesitation, and we would definitely love to return. Special thanks to Sisira for taking such good care of us and always being reachable via WhatsApp whenever we needed anything.

Wonderful place to stay in Polonnaruwa that is like home, and everyone there like family. Comfy and full of warmth, the dinner and breakfast are also exceptional. Some of the best food I have tasted in Sri Lanka. A highlight of my trip and a place I will hope to visit again...

Beautiful and quiet place. Rooms are with very high ceilings and super clean. Hot water and great wifi. The garden is amazing and the owners are a super lovely couple. Dinner and breakfast were incredibly tasty. We absolutely recommend this place, 10/10!

Lovely hut, lovely service and hospitality.

This property is one of the few hotels with a great view for the amount you spend. It has a stunning lake view and is excellent for nature lovers. There were a lot of birds in the evening, and the sunset was magnificent. There is a nice pool to relax while watching the sunset and pool beds to relax if you need. It might not be the ideal location for luxury seekers, but it is excellent for any traveller who loves nature! Comfortable rooms and wonderful breakfast. The manager and staff were really helpful, and I was happy to see a staff full of young blood! The manager said that the owners had changed recently, so hopefully, it will be even better when I visit the next time!
