I was initially a bit nervous because it was my first time in Africa and I was travelling alone, however Alex’s warmth and attention to detail gave me the confidence to book. This experience and being with Alex’s family and community for 3 nights has changed my life. Seeing the kids and the school which is right next to the guest house is nothing short of wonderful. I can honestly say that I went to Zambia to see the Victoria Falls but staying here was the highlight of my trip. Alex, his family and community have a big heart and are so welcoming. I feel like I got the authentic experience. Alex took me to and showed me around the local market which was incredible and learnt a lot about local traditions. I got to speak to the locals, ask them about what they do and be immersed in the day to day way of life. In regard to the guest house, I loved how clean it was, how hospitable Alex and Irene were, being with the kids and seeing the stars at night! Thank you Alex! I will be back.
