The location is great as well, the village is quite small but packed with beautiful places and beautiful. The owners were amazing: extremely fiendly and helpful! They also spoke English quite well (apart from their native language French). They helped us book tours that I think we could have never arranged by ourselves: amongst others a village tour with a villager/guide (who also spoke English well enough) that I would highly recommend if you go to Toubacouta. The other staff members at the B&B were also pleasant. Their cooking was great with both western and local elements, and they could even cater to our rather advanced food preferences (vegetarianism and allergies to nuts and soy protein)! The nice owners ate their meals together with the guests which was a convenient time to socialize and get some tips on what to do in the area.

We really liked the B&B in general but were especially impressed with the excursions that were offered. David gave us a guided boat tour where we visited the small nearby island towns of Sipo and Missirah and it was one of the highlights of our trip. Jenny was also very helpful with the logistics (especially because I don't speak French!) and helping me organise our time in Senegal. El Hadj is their taxi driver and we organised pretty much our whole trip throughout Senegal with him - he was fantastic. And there are a few restaurants nearby with delicious food. The breakfast offered at the B&B was delicious. Thank you!

Location of the hotel is superb, right in the middle of the delta Saloum, surrounded by the mangrove trees. The hotel has a magnificent view on the lake and the stay in the tree house was another adventure on its own.
