The host and his family are super nice and welcoming. He showed us around some beautifull places around the village. The place is full of a wide variety of birds . The food was some amazing home cooked local srilankan cuisine. Perfect place relatively untouched by mass tourism.

Coconut camp udawalawe terletak di Dematapelessa dan menawarkan restoran. Terletak 12km dari Taman Negara Udawalawe, penginapan ini mempunyai taman dan tempat parking peribadi percuma. It is a great experience to stay at coconut camp. It is surrounded by nature and you can fall asleep to the sound of a little stream running just in front of your tent. The tents are very clean and luxurious but the best thing about the place is really the great hospitality - I can warmly recommend to have dinner there, it is a very special experience and so delicious! Also breakfast is really outstanding and I enjoyed my Safari with Sanda a lot. I saw a lot of Elephants and I am grateful he recommended me to stay one more night to be able to do Safari in the evening time (cause the the elephants go to get water and you can see more of them) and visit the Elephant Orphanage in the morning - that was such a beautiful experience! I felt very well taken care of and warmly welcomed, I am very grateful I stayed there and I can only recommend to go for this experience!
