It's a very nicely designed building located in a lush garden a little bit outside of town. The big rooms are kept in French colonial style with beautiful furniture built by the owner himself. The family running the place is very charming and helpful. A good choice of local meals is served in an outstandingly designed restaurant constructed with a lot of old local wood. The cats also care a lot about the guests :-)

The staff were friendly and helpful. After two weeks here they were starting to feel like family. 💕 Rooms were large and clean with comfortable beds. Breakfast was delicious every morning. The location was perfect for us. Close enough to the supermarket, waterfront and restaurants but far enough away that it wasn't busy or loud.

Staff and owners were very accommodating and friendly. They have motorbike rentals and free kayaking. Will definitely come back and stay here.

The room was clean and big, the bed was confortable, the breakfast was good, and the staff was very professional. The hotel is far away from the city center but they offer a free shuttle.

Hotel Old Cinema mempunyai kolam renang luaran, taman, teres dan restoran di Kampot. Everything! The staff, the design, the location. Simply great! We had wonderful days in Kampot nevertheless because of the wonderful staff of the old cinema hotel. And Queen, the cat 😉

The host is the best host I ever had in my life (and I travelled a lot). I wanted to eat traditional Khmer food. She took the time for me to bring me to the market in the morning to live an entire Khmer experience! I loved it. Plus she showed me how to cook traditional Khmer curry… it was very tasty. She made sure I could do whatever I feel like doing during my stay without pushing me to do stuff. I felt very good staying there and I wish I could have stayed longer. I hope she will visit me (either in France or in Germany)!!! The room hat exactly what I needed. A Ventilator because it was hot and cold water to take a shower (even if you can increase the temperature of the water). It was very clean. We could also drink water for free the entire journey. It helped me a lot. You can rent a scooter (motorbike?) for 6$ and you have kayak location near by so you can enjoy being near the Prek Tek Chhouu. I slept very well and yes some rooster can sing in the morning. But I loved it !!
