Miyajima Guesthouse Mikuniya is a traditional Japanese-style guesthouse located on Miyajima (Itsukushima). Everything, it was an amazing stay. Miyajima was my favorite place in Japan and this guesthouse was incredible

Free WiFi is available, and a free shuttle is provided to/from the airport.... The service was first-rate. We did not expect that level of hospitality from an airport hotel! The amenities were aplenty and not lacking in any way. They have a little souvenir corner in the lobby of the room.

A 3-minute stroll from Itsukushima Shrine, Miyajima Grand Hotel Arimoto boasts an outdoor hot spring bath. It offers luxurious Japanese-style and Western rooms and a free shuttle from Miyajima Pier. I stayed in Japan for a month, and my one night stay here is an absolute stand out moment in the trip. From arriving at the island and sending off our luggage with the shuttle to being dropped off at the ferry by the shuttle on our last day. Every interaction with the team was friendly and professional. I think it's absolutely worth spending a little extra to get the open air bath with a view, soaking in the views while soaking in the tub was extraordinary.

We were pleasantly surprised how spacious they were, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. The host was incredibly kind, he suggested the best places to eat and buy locally produced lemon pastries, and when we were leaving, he brought his cat, Tiger, and waved goodbye to us. As we were on a three-day bike trip and only had our small backpacks with us, we loved the fact that everything was provided: shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, tooth brushes, toothpaste, mouth wash, etc. In each room there were even a couple of bottles of water and everything for making tea and coffee. In the common spaces there was a microwave, guidebooks, manga books, and a wall full of Toso Maps of the Shimanami Kaido trail. We will definitely book Bed&Cafe Onzo again next time we bike the Shimanami Kaido!
