The chalet ıs located at an end, nestled besıde the raınforest. The monkıes joıned us for breakfast and you can hearthem jumıng on the roof from early mornıng. Our hostess, Tıa, was so hospıtable and frıendly. She had the most gorgeous lıttle kıttens who were so playful. Tıa organısed our guıde to come down and speak to us the nıght before our 1 day trek, so we had lots of ınfo ahead of tıme. ı absolutely recommend stayıng here. You can open the porch double doors and vıew the rıver from the 4 poster bed. There ıs also a hammock on the porch to relax on.

The room was spacious and the AC worked great. The staff were so kind and helpful. The food was delicious (we liked the curry best) and very reasonably priced. We also signed up for a one day tour with them and we had a great day with 5 orangutan sightings led by our guides Jojo and Aldi. One evening some local guys came by to hang out and play some music. It was great singing along and getting to know the people of Bukit Lawang! It was also great that this didn’t go on late into the night and we still went to bed at a very reasonable time.

Our jungle guide was exceptional – knowledgeable, respectful of nature, and full of insight. The whole experience was seamless and filled with genuine hospitality. A truly memorable stay, where everything was taken care of and we felt both welcomed and valued. Highly recommended!
