My room was huge with a big balcony directly above the water - very cool! The location is not in the Flores Island but in San Miguel - so if you search for a calmer non touristic area that's your choice! From Flores it is easy to arrive with a small boat in about 5 mins. Also recommended to book the tour to Tikal etc. and transports with them, they offer for a good price. And it is helpful to know some Spanish as their English is limited (but Julio is learning!) 😊 muchas gracias 🥰

The delicious meals served on the half-board rate, breakfast and dinner. A tremendous value for money. 4. The easy driving to Tikal and Yaxha parks, and the free overnight parking.

The common areas and the rooms are extremely clean and super nicely set up, with all what you need, from fan to blanket. Dimensions of accommodation is also much better than average. Position is a bit outside the village but I loved it as it’s quiet and overlooking the lake. The staff went above and beyond. Always friendly, discreet but ready to help. we ordered dinner and got amazing food freshly cooked. A fab place where I’d love to stay again if I come back.

The whole experience, right from the greeting to our departure was very positive. The owner and his family were very pleasant and most helpful. The room had a nice balcony area with a good view and comfortable hammock. Everything was spotlessly clean.

Zapote Tree Inn is located less than 16 minutes from Flores' airport and 4 minutes away from Flores island by boat, located at a privileged point to appreciate sunsets and sunrises overlooking the island and the lake. Being on San Miguel, you get to have the best view of Flores at all different times of the day surrounded by beautiful plants. Staff are all lovely, especially Noa, who went out of his way to make sure everyone was happy; and the vibe is chilled, relaxed, and easy. It is on a bit of a hill so may not be ideal for people with mobility issues.

The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. This is likely one of the most beautiful places to stay in Peten, the hotel has incredible views of lake Peten Itza at pretty much every corner. A cool funicular that will take you to the a small dock on the lower part, where you will be able to jump in the lake and continue to admire the scenery. To that you can add really nice food at the restaurant that has enough variety to not taste the same food on a week long trip. But, the best thing about this place is it’s amazing staff, they are so welcoming and friendly, they will treat you like family. They gave us a lot of tips about where to go and how to get there, they always welcomed us back with a smile, a cold towel and a clean room.

This modern hotel is situated right on Peten Itza Lake and offers free Wi-Fi and breakfast. Incredible hotel on the lake with stunning views, facilities, and lovely staff. We’re a British couple in our late 20s and it’s one of our favourite hotels that we’ve ever stayed in. There is a shuttle boat that runs from the hotel to Flores island which is a pretty cool mode of transport. Few things we particularly liked: - The staff are accommodating offering great excursions (Tikal was the tour we did and enjoyed) and were very welcoming, particularly given our Spanish was very poor - the food at the hotel is really good, nice touch preparing the breakfast boxes too when we had early departures from the hotel - good drinks options too (beers and cocktails the highlight from our side, wine was expensive but that’s to be expected) - there are kayaks and pedalos free to use too which were a nice touch. - the room is stunning with beautiful views, good TV, impressive bathroom
