The breakfast was very good. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The manager happily attended to a couple of requests (extra towels) and was extremely helpful with information about the area and suggestions for activities.

The location of the Casa was perfect, on a quiet street right in the centre of the village, just a step away from the main square. We can heartily recommend the Restaurante Espana, a welcoming family-run place just 3 doors up the street.

Offering 2 outdoor pools, paddle-tennis courts, this country house is set in the Arribes del Duero Nature Reserve. Hinojosa de Duero is a 10-minute drive away. This isn't a hotel to stop at on the way, it is out of the way, but that is what makes it so special. The accomadations are simple but well maintained and clean. The house and public areas are full of collectables and presented with love. A feast for the eyes. The view onto the Duoro and wine mountains is simply spectacular. My husband was under the weather so we did not have the chance to explore the area but felt quite comfortable being lazy around the pool area for the day. The dinners and breakfasts were home made, delicious and were very inexpensive. The local wine was also offered at a very fair price. So glad we went out of the way to find this place.
