The hotel gives out the Chinese authentic vibe, the food, decorations and everything. Front offices people is very helpful all of them can speak English which is great as well as the owner. The tea complementary in the room is fantastic.

I am so happy we stayed in this peaceful village instead of Yangshuo downtown (which is just 5km away). We spent there 4 nights and every day was full of interesting activities. I’ve been traveling around China for 5 months and this was my most memorable stay thanks to the lovely people. They really went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and make it an enjoyable travel experience, from helping book tours to always being happy to chat. Bonus is the hotel connects to a running/biking trail (also leads straight to Reed Flute Cave) and the location is very convenient.

Lakeside Inn Guilin Central has a garden, shared lounge, a restaurant and bar in Guilin. Lovely terrace, owner spoke good english and was very helpful and attentive, i was even invited to join his friends for dinner one night. The food was delicious and biiig portions.

Set just about a 5-minute drive from Reed Flute Cave, 2 km from the centre of Guilin City, The Beyond Villa Guilin Boutique Hotel sits close to Taohua River and is surrounded by greenery and silence... My first in a min-shu in China. I usually stayed in 5 stars international hotel hence I was approaching it with apprehension. It surpassed my expectations and value for money. The customer service who checked us in, Xiao Liang is resourceful and helpful with ideas as we arrived with no plans for Guilin. She arranged for a good guide to bring us around for 1 day at a reasonable price. The guide brought us to see excellent view in Long Ji and Ping-An. Xiao Liang also arranged the cruise for us to travel from Guilin to Yangshuo. The best part was the LADY BOSS - very hospitable, friendly and gracious lady. She invited my husband and myself to a dinner she has arranged for her close friends! IT WAS EXCELLENT for 2 seniors travelling free and easy on the first night in Guilin! Their hospitality, warmth, resourcefulness made this an excellent stay. AND THE VIEW is good. Really had a quiet and stressless stay in this min-shu.

Located in Yangshuo, The Bamboo Leaf Yangshuo offers a seasonal outdoor swimming pool. One of the most beautiful hotels in Yangshuo. Beautiful view of the mountains, peace and quiet. 20-25 minutes walk from the city center, but there is also a shuttle if someone does not like to walk. Scooter and bicycle rentals are also available. Clean, comfortable large room with a balcony. The breakfast is plentiful, varied and delicious. The restaurant is open all day, the roof terrace is perfect for lunch, dinner or an afternoon coffee. Large and clean pool with a nice view of the mountains. The staff is kind and helpful, they are happy to answer any questions. We will choose this hotel again next time.
