The Motel 6 is in a great location, just off the California 1 making it easy to travel up and down the coast, great for days out. However you cannot hear any noise from the traffic. It is close to a Walmart which is great for picking up supplies as well as some fast food places. There is car parking all around the motel, minimising the walk to your room which was very kindly pointed out to us by reception when we checked in. There was free tea and coffee in the mornings and vending machines, ice machines and laundry facilities on site. We had a room with 2 double beds, the linens were clean and layered, we never had to use the aircon in the room as it was nice and cool without it. There was a spacious desk, tv and sink outside the bathroom which is very convenient when getting ready in the morning.

    I liked the quiet courtyard and the coffee in the office. I also loved the location as you literally cross a quiet street and are on the beach. I also like that there was no smoking by the rooms but there was a nice spot by parking lots. There’s a 7/11 nearby which was very convenient and it’s right next to Monterey and moss landing.
