The property is beautiful, full of character, a working farm environment. Best of all dog friendly. Fresh eggs and milk was a wonderful touch.

Set in a beautiful, peaceful, rural location. No microwave or shower, but the oven with all the pots and pans, and the bath with ample hot water, did the job equally as well and more authentic. Had an interesting chat with Bunny, who has been there all his very interesting life and which has been captured in a very interesting book. Managed a few chapters but will return for 2 nights within 12 months to finish the rest. I also enjoyed chatting to James the farm manager, a very friendly and amiable person. Good, honest country folk. The time there was one of those memorable experiences that I will always treasure.

Flat Hills Tourist Park is located on State Highway 1 in the beautiful Rangitikei Valley. Free private parking is available on site. All units have a flat-screen TV.

Perfect little campsite. The pod was cosy and warm. Great facilities - clean toilets and showers, great communal area and kitchen (we didn’t use it, but only because it was a quick stop on way through). Great play area for kids, and they loved feeding the animals
