BelgiumWe loved everything, if you want total immersion in the Maya culture, in the Maya houses, and with Maya food cooked by the owner, it is the place to be ! Very friendly staff, very nice local food. Staying there made us rest well before leaving early for Calakmul amazing site.

- ever wanted to camp in the jungle with monkeys.
- want to eat some proper home-cooked tacos
- stay as close as possible to Calakmul, the best Mayan ruin in Mexico (still 1 hour drive)
You should not stay here if you:
- hate camping
- want air conditioning
- want to wash in a shower rather than with a bucket
- do not want to be woken by howler monkeys.
This place is an unforgettable experience, but if you're used to comfortable hotels, it's not for you.
Do yourself a favour though: even if you're not going to stay here, stop by for tacos at the outdoor restaurant on the way back from Calakmul, you will not regret it.
