We had the best stay!! The family that run the place are so sweet and kind, and they made us feel right at home! We absolutely loved spending time on the balcony and eating amazing breakfasts every morning with a stunning view of Ella Rock. Excellent value for money and perfect location, close to the main street but away enough from any noise. It was perfect and I hope we'll be back one day!

The accommodation was really nice! The bed was very comfortable and cozy, beautiful room and bathroom. Also with hot water pump! The breakfast was delicious and they made it for the time we wanted to have it. Lovely people!

Staying at Wood Palace in Ella was one of the highlights of my trip. The location is perfect — it feels like you’re tucked away in the jungle, surrounded by nature and total peace, yet you’re only a short stroll from town, cafes, and everything you need. That balance between seclusion and convenience is hard to find, but this place nails it. The family who runs it make the stay extra special. The mother who prepares breakfast is absolutely adorable — she cooks with such care, and her warm smile makes every morning brighter. The breakfasts themselves are delicious, fresh, and generous. The owner is a great bloke too — kind, genuine, and always ready to help with tips, directions, or just a good chat. If you want a stay in Ella that feels authentic, welcoming, and beautifully set in nature without being far from the action, Wood Palace is the perfect choice. Highly recommended! 🌿✨

The host was exceptional and really made sure we were looked after during our stay. On the day we were due to arrive, he texted us to ensure we had transport from the train station and even met us at the top of the road to carry our luggage in his tuk tuk. In addition to this, he arranged transport for us to our next destination for a very fair price. The cabin was lovely, nice and spacious and lovely attention to detail with decor etc., also, just a 10 minute walk to the town. The breakfast was great and we felt very looked after during our stay.

This is a real gem. We booked the family room and the double room which were both clean, comfortable, and nicely furnished. The view is just incredible and so relaxing. The scenery in the morning is just amazing when you see and hear all the surroundings waking up. From the start, we were welcome with such a nice friendly atmosphere and they went over their duty to make us happy. We all absolutely loved it and will come back.     The place is clean, the room is quite big compared to other places of similar price, they serve you breakfast at the room. Place is only 600m from the crowded village center. Perfect location. And they have a small parking lot too. Best part, the hosts. They help us to arrange a jeep safari for the next day in Yala National Park.
