The staff is super super nice . I booked the room 4-5 months ago and there was no twin room for me and my husband. So I Boole two single room. Maya ppl cancelled their room while I checked in .the staff told me there is twin room for us . But booking.com already charged and won’t refund so the staff was trying so hard to help us , we are so touching.

Brilliant location only a few minutes walk from Sakurambo Higashine train station. Staff was very friendly despite limited English. I like that they even offered facial mask (the cosmetic kind, not the covid kind) if you want. I also managed to go to the female onsen which was an absolutely awesome first time experience. Breakfast was nice, not a lot of choices but sufficient for a light meal.

The tatami room was lovely and the bed very comfortable for a futon type. There are a number of different style rooms. We especially booked a room with a private outdoor shower and bath. The food was superb in every respect. There were a number of beers available and, surely, there is a taste to appeal to everyone. The staff were caring and took time to understand the hotel guests. The communal bath was nice and the outdoor areas in general were pleasant. The test of a hotel is to positively answer the question, 'would you stay here again?' Our answer is that we returned after visiting here a year ago, except this time we doubled the length of our stay.

PRICE: Given that the price included a buffet breakfast, I would definitely say that it is one of the best hotel rates I've found. LOCATION: There is a nearby Starbucks and Max Valu supermarket accessible on foot within 10-15 minutes. Across from Starbucks is Road Station Tendo Onsen, which has a bookstore, a coffee shop, and a big souvenir shop. Within walking distance from the hotel are two foot baths (I think). ROOM: The room can probably accommodate two adults. MATTRESS: The bed was quite firm. It's perfect for me because I like this kind of bed. ROOM AMENITIES: In addition to the usual amenities, I liked it that there were power outlets at the bed headboard. STAFF: The staff at the reception when I checked in was very helpful. They were friendly and smiled a lot. Check in was smooth. So was the check out. BUFFET BREAKFAST: Plenty of choices for a typical Japanese breakfast: rice, egg, grilled fish, Japanese curry, sausages, salad, miso soup, porridge. Drink choices included tea, milk, and orange juice. There are also some bread options with usual jams. INDOOR ONSEN: The onsen was one of the main reasons I booked this hotel. It was a decent size and was a great way to end the day. RELAXATION AREA: There was also a relaxation room just outside the onsen rooms which had two massage chairs, plenty of vending machines.

The accommodation was a short drive to Ginzan Onsen and near local restaurants of Obanazawa city. Highly recommended for budget friendly trip to Yamagata. Staff were also very accommodating. They can speak Mandarin and English. 😊 Thank you for letting us stay comfortably in your cute and spacious bnb:)
