Our stay at La Terrazza nel borgo was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of genuine warmth and exceptional hospitality. The location, nestled amidst rolling hills and a glimpse of the sea, offered breathtaking views. The comfortable and tastefully decorated premises are meticulously maintained, a testament to the care taken by the owners. Lidia's meals were a delight, showcasing freshly baked pastry prepared with obvious passion. But what truly set this accommodation apart was the kindness of the hosts. Lidia and Michele went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, anticipating our needs and offering thoughtful touches that made us feel truly welcome. It was a truly unforgettable experience, and we can't wait to return.

Nice and well-kept b&b. I have noticed some reviews wrote it was tricky to find, but Google Maps took us straight there. I had a Garmin GPS in the car, and that did not help much, but there are also sign to guide the way. There are several nice beaches up and down the coast and when we visited in October we had them pretty much to ourselves

Very nice location, superb sunset view from the terrace and from the room. Great breakfast, the owner was vey friendly and looked after us extremely well. She organised the restaurant for us and it was great value for money. Free parking, but only suitable for small cars. Quite an adventure getting back onto the main road, but no problem.(Larger vehicles could park at the restaurant above the apartment, but 100m or so away. I guess the owner would carry your luggage down in her car, if asked...)

From our very arrival at the hotel's motorized gate through to our goodbyes we were delighted with the hotel and staff at the Santavenere! Everyone was very friendly and helpful at the hotel and the property is a joy to spend time relaxing, swimming and eating. The attention to detail and the quality of everything is amazing. It all feels authentic to Italy though and so many of the staff we spoke to are from the area. The breakfasts are to die for and unfortunately time did not allow for a dinner meal at the hotel. Swimming was a delight as were the waterfront lounge beds and staff. The front desk organized a private water tour by boat and it was spectacular. We are returning for a long stay and we look forward to it!

We really enjoyed our stay at GENTE di MARE. The host was amazing—friendly, helpful, and very flexible with check-in and checkout times. The apartment was spacious, clean, and comfortable: a large living room with kitchenette, a bedroom with AC, bathroom, and balcony with a great view (we also had an extra bedroom we didn’t use). It felt a bit like having our own villa :) The location is probably the best possible one for exploring Maratea. From the property gate, the road on the right leads to the local center and further to Fiumicello beach (Tip: look for the stone-step shortcut on the left at the first intersection). The road on the left and through a tunnel goes to the train station and, if you turn right after the tunnel, to a path up to the historic center (a pleasant but not too demanding walk). There’s also a bus between the lower town and the historic center, though the schedule varies by season. In addition, Marina di Maratea is only a 4-minute train ride away, with more lovely beaches (Tip: buy return tickets in advance as there’s no ticket machine there). We initially worried about being close to the station, but it turned out not to be an issue at all. The station was quiet and well managed, and the occasional passing train hardly disturbed the overall peace. At night, closing the window and using the AC ensured perfect sleep.
