The Avalon is my first choice of hotel when visiting my family in Kilkenny. The rooms are really comfortable and tastefully decorated, the inclusion of a coffee machine is very welcome. The hotel has a very homely atmosphere and the staff are wonderful, so kind and friendly. I would really recommend breakfast, a good selection of local produce really well cooked and served. Ross was an amazing host. Told us places to go and eat in the area. He also gave us a local taxi mans number & booked a taxi for us. He was a pure gent. The house is absolutely beautiful and full of character. The rooms are also beautiful and very spacious. Really really enjoyed or stay and would highly recommend!!

The property is a beautiful manor set in a luscious garden/forest. I loved the space in the room, the facilities provided including the large bath and the hosts kindness and providence.
