It's an exeptional place with amazing hosts. The castle/house was clean and comfortable, and the hosts were kind and made you feel at home and welcome. We really felt like family. We loved everything about the place: the hike, the swimming pool, the food and the atmosphere, but most of all the hosts! We will definitely come back as soon as possible. Please pay attention to the road signs made by the hosts. It is very helpful guidance on the way to the location.

Probably the first place where we stayed where the reality exceeds the property photos. This is a gem! Beautiful, tastefully restored little house in a quiet remote village which is really close to Heraklion by car, just in 10 minutes you suddenly find yourself in a different world than the touristy seashore, a piece of traditional, rural Crete. But be aware, you do need a car - which is cheap to rent in Crete anyway. The owners left some tasty local products for us (honey, butter, marmalade, some bakery product, olive oil, even raki!) so we didn't have to care about the first breakfast. There is a place to park just in front of the house which is very convenient. (Don't be shy on the narrow streets that leads there, the car will fit).

Besides the warm hospitality of Stella and the neighbors, who, seeing that we were traveling with a child, did not stop giving us all kinds of attention and care, we loved the rural atmosphere of the town and how impeccabile and well-kept the house was. The washing machine was very useful for us too!

I just back home from this great place ! me and my boyfriend spent there 11 days, and honestly it was one of our best vacation. The house is placed in the small, nice village , on the top of the hill. You don't have any neighbour around , so the amount of privacy you can get is just beyond. Perfect for couples who wants to feel free around the pool. And yes, the pool, it is just great. It is big, deep enough , water is nice and clean and the best thing about is the view - just to falling in love with. You get to see mouintens and the see all together . The house is lovely too. You will find there everything you need either you like to cook on your vacation or prefer going out to eat ( if so there is great taverna just 5 min walking from the house ). The owner of the place is a really great guy, very helpful, kind. He welcome us with the big plate of local fruits. Than the other day when I ask him he brought our some local veggie . And one day his mum made for us traditional greek pasticcio which was very tasty . In the village you can find a few coffee bars, local shops ( in the shops you will be able to buy some local wine and raki only for 3 euro for 1l !!!! deal of the year!). But just keep it on your mind, you will need a car . Place is about 30 km from Heraklion airport and 150 from Chania . Road are awesome with beautiful views but remember your are driving in the mountain .
