Incredible new refurbishment designed in a fashion that integrates very nicely with the old building. Spacious suites, nice rooftop, beautiful garden. Private restaurant has a unique atmosphere and a lengthy wine card. The beds were very comfy too! Unique location on top of the hill with a beautiful view on La Rioja!

I LOVED my stay at Palacio de Samaniego! I don't know where to start. The facilities were impeccable; newly renovated it's clean and modern but classic. The building is well maintained and the staff are friendly and the place felt like home, I was very comfortable in it (felt safe, at home and physically comfortable the furniture was amazing). The hotel is like a little museum it was incredible with all of the art work you feel like you are living inside a little art gallery/museum. There are only 9 rooms so the hotel feels cozy and you know most of the people who are staying there with you. The staff are exceptional, I felt like I was in a B&B where everyone gets to know you and genuinely they were so kind and I got on with them, was sad to leave! Location is insanely amazing; the town only has the hotel and two wineries in walking distance but the hotel has almost everything you need. It's a great place if you are out all day and want to stay in and rest in the evening. You can walk out of the hotel and go on walks up the mountain behind it or down in the wineries below - it was breathtaking. The hotel has ebikes and we took them around to the villages nearby, such a bonus for the wine country! Overall the value was insane, at 300Euro/night you get so much but mostly you feel at ease.

Our stay at this hotel was nothing short of outstanding. Despite our late evening arrival, the manager provided a warm and informative welcome, offering us a comprehensive tour of the facilities and ensuring we were familiar with all available amenities and contact details. The hotel maintains an exceptional standard of cleanliness, and I would be genuinely surprised if anyone found fault with it. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the rooms were impeccably quiet, allowing for a restful and undisturbed night’s sleep. The bathrooms were beautifully designed, featuring a spacious walk-in rain shower and an ample supply of high-quality toiletries. The bar and lounge area exuded charm and provided a delightful setting for relaxation. The following morning, breakfast was a true feast, offering a generous and satisfying selection that kept us full for hours. The hotel’s location is ideal for those seeking a peaceful retreat to unwind and recharge. The local town, just a short 2–3 minute walk away, offered an excellent dining experience with outstanding food, impeccable service, and remarkable value for money. I highly recommend this hotel and will undoubtedly be returning in the future.

    Beautiful location in a lovely old building. Ana was a lovely host and clearly worked hard to make our stay so lovely. Parking 5 mins walk, the area is pedestrianised.
