It has large rooms with lots of light, a courtyard with a lovely covered terrace, views and everything you need for a pleasant stay and more. Like a fantastic public swimming pool around the corner!

This is a tiny village up in the mountains. It is a place to relax, connect with nature and enjoy the peace and quiet. That said it is only a short distance with easy access to Asturias gems including the cathedral beach and displays of local artisans skills. I went to take photographs and wasn’t disappointed, landscape, wildlife, woodland, it is all there. As for the hosts, nothing is too much. You arrive a stranger and leave a friend as they say, the local cuisine is exceptional in their restaurant overlooking the valley. In short this is an experience you won’t forget. Loved it

We are frequent travelers and I must say that Casa Doňano is one of the best we have experienced in Europe. The house has a mystical atmosphere, it is a wonderful and sensitive reconstruction of a rural historical building with the corresponding equipment. It filled us with positive energy there. The owners (a lady from Brazil and a gentleman from Holland) were very kind and helpful, and at the same time they were extremely pleasant communication partners for us. The best organized, designed, and clean hostel I stayed at on the Northern Camino. It did benefit from the fact that there was probably less than 10 guests. The common area is well set up and cozy with a light kitchen, ie it is not set up for major cooking. I stayed in a 5 bunkbed room with adjacent full bathroom. Again great design and functionality. You have a lockable box next to the bed and a little open box with discreet lighting. We were only two sleeping in the room. Breakfast is preordered bread options that is delivered early. Safe parking for the bike with basic tools and pumps. Two minutes from the cathedral square with a great cafe. And great washing and drying options at a reasonable price. Yay!!! The hostess was kind and helpful. Thanks so much.

Fantastic place to stay! Extremely clean, comfortable and luxurious. There genuinely was no room for improvement it was perfect! . The host covered everything we could need, even with free laundry rooms to use too. Lovely, comfortable and cosy place to stay I would recommend it to anyone!

Turning off a very wet and foggy November road, arriving at the Casa was like coming home to a warm and friendly greeting. The welcome from Monica and Manolo could not have been better. The room was comfortable- a fire in the Salon, a cup of tea and homemade cake, and slices of iberico jamon! After a warm shower, I was driven into town for lunch and then returned for a siesta, some reading and the rare opportunity for a quiet afternoon and evening. A simple supper, good conversation as they shared their fascinating life story. Breakfast was a treat of fruit, locally sourced products and baked goods, fresh eggs and bacon. Amazing attention to detail, generosity and creativity. I’m sorry not to have seen the garden and pool- wrong time of year. But on my Camino trail, this has been my favourite place, and the hosts my favourite couple. I left with a package of fruit and cake, warm memories which carried me through the fog and rain of this day.
