San Rafael is a very special place, sited at a rainforest, which makes it unique. Rooms are very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast is delicious! Muchas, muchas gracias, Giovanni and Luis. I travel a lot and spend a long time away from home, so cleanliness, comfort, and beauty around me are very important. I found all of this at La Tigra Mountain House. The beds are wide, the mattresses are comfortable. The hostess of the house is very attentive and caring. And I would like to highlight the view separately. It's fantastic!!! The Platanar and Porvenir volcanoes are visible as if in the palm of your hand. Sunrises, clouds running at eye level, and hovering birds attract and compel you to stop and enjoy life. In the morning, I tried to exercise, but it smoothly transitioned into meditation... As they say, it's better to see once than hear a hundred times!! Come and see for yourself. I recommend it...

Very calm location in the middle of the rainforest, can't be more relaxing! It was so amazing to fall asleep and wake up to the sounds of frogs, birds etc... They were very attentive to my honeymoon request. The whole hotel is sustainable, the hot water from the shower is provided by solar panels. The food is very good and the prices are very reasonable. According to the occupancy it might be necessary to book a table in advance, especially at diner time. They helped us booking full day hikes as well and gave us breakfast to take with us. They provided us flashlights for us to go back to our room in case it's already dark. We used the laundry service as well the day before our check-out and it was ready on time for us to leave.

The Staff! Incredibly friendly and helpful. Staying with Fabian at reception, who took us on a small tour before we even got to our room, to our amazing wait staff at the restaurant, Anthony, Pamela, and all the others. The waterslide into the river was a perfect way to start the day!
