The private onsen across the street is incredible, I had it to myself every night, and there is an option for breakfast. The room was perfect for two of us, and Papa was so kind to drive us to and from the Myokokogen station and the mountains, and also on some errands which was so kind. It feels like you are stepping into a place that can’t be created, a piece of personality.

She cooked delicious breakfast every morning, cooked us a traditional Japanese dinner on two of our nights there, took us to the fire festival in Nozawa Onsen and went skiing with us a couple of times. The location is perfect - right on the main street with easy access to restaurants, bars and slopes! Bedroom was spacious and we loved the onsens! Highly recommend!
