Positioned on the main street, the Queen Street Studios is a 4-minute walk to Richmond Mall where guests can find a variety of shops... Easy to find. Doable distance from the Picton car ferry and Abel Tasman.. Excellent facilities. Pleasant friendly staff who gave good recommendations for an evening meal and helped us to use the laundry. Off street parking right outside the apartment. Good place to visit the Nelson attractions, particularly the car museum with its cafe and excellent gift shop. Highly recommended.

Offering free WiFi and free on-site bus and car parking, Mohua Motels is located in Takaka. All accommodation offers a patio, fully equipped kitchenette and mountain and garden views. Our stay at Mohua Motels was excellent. The facilities in the room exceeded our expectations - small matter such as it had egg cups for our boiled eggs! We had 3 nights and used the outside gas barbeque for two evening meals. It was very clean and worked extremely well - a good range on BBQ tools was provided. There was nice outside sitting space. It was a short walk into Takaka for cafes, shops and a few restaurants. As a bonus there was an excellent supermarket just down the road - again easy walking distance. The area has outstanding beaches within a short drive. Staff are very helpful and easily available.

Located in Takaka, 10 minutes' drive from the beach, The Rocks Chalets features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi throughout the property. Free private parking is available on site. Very friendly host. Spacious and comfortable room. Each chalet has its own patio and garden table. We did not have problems with mosquitoes, but should there be any, multiple insect repellant devices are provided. Extensive kitchen equipment. Whatever is not provided in the chalet itself is provided in the common kitchen, e.g., oil, soy sauce, bigger pans, pizza oven. Washing machine and drier available in the common area. Good shower.

Offering modern accommodation and situated less than a 20-minute walk from Richmond Mall and nearby vineyards, Parkside Motel also offers a courtyard and a seasonal heated swimming pool. The hosts ( owner / manager) were so welcoming and helpful. The room was spotless and very comfortable. The grounds looked very inviting as did the poor but we didn’t swim due to the poor weather. We will recommend this Motel to anyone visiting Nelson/ Richmond area.5 stars!

Featuring barbecue facilities, Anatoki Lodge Motel is set in Takaka, 18 km from Golden Bay. Each accommodation at the motel has garden views and free WiFi. We loved our room here. We did have the two bedroom apartment and it was so spacious and comfortable. It’s such a sweet touch that they offer you milk for your morning coffee in a little jug. The location is fantastic. You can walk into town in a couple minutes. The town is awesome. Several wonderful coffee shops with delicious food and lots of hippie vibes stores.

Offering a range of accommodation options with garden and estuary views, Collingwood Park Motel borders the estuary and is 3 minutes' walk from the beach. The Collingwood Park Motel is a cosy establishment facing the inlet of the Golden Bay. We had a spacious apartment (no 7) with a living/dining area, 3 bedrooms and a bathroom. Outside terraces on both sides of the apartment. The beds were comfortable and the veiw from the apartment was beautiful.
