Right on the main thoroughfare so easy to find. Nice beds, furniture and very nice walk-in shower. Even had a jacuzzi tub but never had a chance to use it.

Celtic Motel is nestled in amongst the sunny Horowhenua township of Foxton, giving it a hint of 'country' and ensuring it is very peaceful and quiet, yet it is conveniently situated just 400m off SH... It was 200 meters from Highway one and close to the Dutch Molen restaurant and Foxtons fish and chip shop, both of them excellent. We took our fish and chips down to Foxton beach and watched the sun set. Our main like was our lovely hosts Leslie and Psul who wanted to make sure everything was satisfactory, which it was.

Winner of Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence 2014, Harringtons Motor Lodge offers self-contained ground floor studios and suites with free on-site parking and free WiFi. I stayed here for almost three weeks in late 2023 and it was perfect for my needs. This is a very well-run motel. The hosts are professional, friendly, and very responsive to any requests. They obviously care about guest satisfaction and comfort. The room was very clean and quiet. There is a well-equipped kitchenette and a good-sized TV with many channels. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well the entire visit. The location is excellent because it is directly across the road from the Esplanade which is a fantastic urban park with natural bush, formal gardens and lots of walking paths and track, and also (for families) a large playground and wading pool for kids. There's a bus stop right at the gate and it's only a few minutes ride to The Square and the Plaza shopping center. I'm very happy to have chosen Harringtons for my stay and I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Situated only 4 minutes’ walk from central Ohakune, The Central Motel & Lodge features an outdoor hot tub. All studios and apartments include self-catering facilities and electric blankets. The place was big and tidy. There was a real attention to detail, you feel welcome. It's also perfectly located, only a few minutes away from the tourist info centre and supermarket.
