We chose Motel One as we generally like architecture & design of Motel One. This is true with this one. This concrete one in Basel has an extraordinary location directly in the middle of the city. You can have sightseeing by feet or use the tram if really needed, e.g. visiting the botanical garden. Friendly staff. Good Breakfast with everything to start your day of sightseeing.

Really small hotel with self-checkin. In order to get inside you need to scan a credit card at the door. There is a free coffee but no breakfast. They provide a free transport ticket and free parking which is a nice touch.

Room is clean as usual! Location is great! Relatively quite in the night, comfortable bed and pillow. Quality is motel-one-like.

I have stayed in Motel One Basel multiple times and it is my preferred hotel. Staff are friendly and polite and hotel is in a great location. Foyer is relaxing, and rooms are always quiet and clean.

Location is perfect, near the station, big supermarket and tram stop. We stayed in a one-bedroom apartment, which is brand new, very big, cosy and equipped with everything you need. Comfy beds, quiet area, nice balcony where you can enjoy a cup of coffee. Very convenient that guests can leave their luggage before check-in/after check-out. Breakfast selection is not over the top, but more than enough. Good coffee! We will definitely come back again 😊

We are staying here for the second time and really liked it. Clean room with everything you need, free parking and free public transport tickets so you could explore the city. We will stay here again:)
