The room felt very modern, it had a good kitchen, washer/dryer, cosy dining area, good tvs. The bed was very comfortable. The cleanliness was also top notch. The parking was reserved and arranged ahead of time (paid) and we had no problems with it! Though it is not in the same building so beware of that. The location was excellent! Not only it was super easy to drive from the ferry and also to leave from hotel traveling north but it is also in the bustling city part with plenty of shops and restaurants! The cable car is next door! Botanical garden is within walking distance as well.

All accommodation at Totara Lodge Upper Hutt includes a mini refrigerator and en suite bathroom with hairdryer and shower. Studios and apartments with cable TV and kitchenette facilities are available. Modern, clean looking room. I really like the upper floor. Bed was very comfy. Shower was great, good water pressure and the showerhead was at a good height (at most of my stays elsewhere they are always too low, made for midgets).

Built in the early 20th century, Wallaceville Motor Lodge offers studios with a kitchenette and flat-screen cable TV. Set on lovely gardens, it features a barbecue area with outdoor seating. Wallaceville Train Station is just 650 metres away.

A kitchenette with a microwave, toaster and tea and coffee maker is standard in all studios. Each studio has a private balcony and en suite bathroom with hairdryer and guest toiletries. Fairly basic but very very clean and well kept. Beds are usually my main thing and they were super comfy.
