I liked everything from the friendly lady in the reception and to my checkout. The restaurant is probably the best one in this area.

I had a fantastic 7-day stay at Villa Rumassala—and I loved it so much that I extended my visit by another 10 days. I was based there while completing a medical elective at a nearby hospital, and the villa offered the perfect balance of comfort and tranquillity. Tucked away from the main road, it felt like a peaceful retreat, complete with a serene pool and fresh towels provided daily. The Villas are located about 15 min walk from the main Unawatuna beach and shopping/food area or a short tuktuk ride to Jungle beach (unless you're ok with walking up some steep hills!). The rooms were spacious, exceptionally comfortable, and featured modern, spotless bathrooms. I particularly appreciated the communal kitchen area, which included a kettle and a washing machine—small touches that made a big difference during a longer stay. There was 24/7 security, making me feel safe throughout my stay. There was also a small gym that was open 24/7, however it did not have aircon which might put people off using in the Sri Lankan heat! What truly made my time unforgettable was the staff. They were incredibly warm and welcoming, always making sure I had everything I needed. I was even invited to join in the Sinhala New Year celebrations—a beautiful and memorable experience. A special thank you to Sasini, whose kindness and attention to detail ensured I was comfortable throughout my stay.

The Sun House mempunyai kolam renang luaran, taman, teres dan restoran di Galle. Stunning colonial house converted to a boutique hotel. Tranquil garden and small pool, but fine to refresh after a hot day out. Beautiful views, we could see the sea from our room and we had monkeys outside our window watching us shower! The breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of it. Service was excellent too.

Wow what a great place to relax and enjoy your privacy. A bit away from everything but it was perfect for us... The villa was spacious and clean and it was extremely private.. lovely breakfast. The staff was very kind and attentive. The food was a bit pricey after adding all the taxes and service charge, but it was really good.

Beautiful boutique hotel with amazing direct beach views, the staff were incredible..the beaches are beautiful (two sides), pool stays till 10 pm. Credits to Nilanga, who made sure to accommodate my requests and also provided me with snacks for the road without asking. Also their guard went out of his way to show me the other side of the beach. It's paradise, good for quiet time from the city and buzz. Great food.

The Sri Lankan breakfast was authentic and flavorful, while the Western breakfast was equally delightful. We tried a variety of dishes, and everything was absolutely delicious!

A luxurious mini-hotel in a quiet location right on the lake shore. There are only 2 rooms, so 7 days out of 10 of our stay, we were the only guests. A large green area with lots of birds and other animals. An open-air pool with a stunning view of the lake. Very polite staff, always ready to help. The food is quite varied: very tasty local and European dishes. Meals are prepared especially for guests right before serving. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need, even pool slippers. No issues with hot water. The beach is a 10-15 minute walk away, and the nearest supermarket is a 25-minute walk. By tuk-tuk, it's 15 minutes to Hikkaduwa center and 30 minutes to Galle. The hotel is away from tourist spots, making it the perfect place for a quiet getaway or retreat.

We stayed two nights and from the moment we arrived we felt at home and cozy. The hotel rooms were very clean with comfortable beds + the included breakfast of eggs, sausages, fruits and more was sensational. The hosts/staff are also very down to earth and were attentive with any request we had.
