We had a very late arrival, around 11pm, and the staff were beyond accomodating. Our transfer shuttle met us at the packing garage and the communication was seemless. Giovanni was at reception upon check in, and was an absolute delight. Francesco was also very helpful, with wine and snacks ready when requested even at such a late arrvial time. Both were so proud of the hotel and the area, full of great tips and lots of history about the hotel and the area. Our room was amazing, we had a terrace which was so great to see the view late at night. The breakfast was lovely too, and we were sad we were only there for one night! Can not recommend this hotel enough. A great location to discover the town, with the friendliest of staff! (Fillipe who carried our bags up and down those stairs and drove us back to our car was amazing as well).

Staying at MOYΣEION felt like stepping back into the world of Magna Graecia. The welcome ritual performed by Davide made the whole experience really special and set the tone for our stay. The service was outstanding, the staff incredibly helpful, and the cave pool was just breathtaking—my friend Pete especially loved the statues surrounding it. The togas, rituals, and attention to detail made the whole visit immersive and memorable. I also recommend booking an Ape Car tour through the front desk when you arrive—it’s the perfect way to explore Matera. Plus, if you call ahead, they’ll even arrange a pickup from the bus station, which is really convenient.

Terletak 6-minit berjalan kaki dari Palombaro Lungo di Matera, Martini Matera 2-luxury apartment menyediakan penginapan dengan penyaman udara dan WiFi percuma. The location was excellent for sight seeing. The apartment was on the edge of the Sassi district and a very short walk to the centre of Matera, in a very quiet street. The host had left a bottle of wine, milk, cereal, tea, coffee…enough to get us started. We were very grateful. The kitchen was well stocked, and there was plenty of linen. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in there….it was charming.

We would definitely come back.

Really clean, everything is new, very comfortable beds and sofa, apartment had everything we need. WiFi was fast, and we really enjoyed our time there. Free parking is in front of the apartment. Neighborhood is very nice and quiet, pizza and sweets are 2min away. It’s in the second floor. To Sassi if you walk, you need 15-20min.
