We only notified the hotel on the day and they were gracious enough to take our circumstances into consideration and not to charge us which would have been their right. Hoeve Roosbeek features luxurious rooms, cosy gastronomy and free WiFi in a restored farmstead, 15 minutes’ drive from Sint-Truiden. It features a garden terrace, bicycle or vespa rental. I took an art class 2 1/2 miles from this location so it was perfect for a short bike commute. With global warming, it was nice to have air conditioning as an option because most small countryside places in Belgium don’t necessarily have air-conditioning..
