The hotel is new, very nice and comfortable. Practically inside the oraia, but protected by vegetation, which does not ruin the harmony of the beach landscape. The owner of the hotel, an English gentleman, is very friendly and concerned about providing us with an excellent stay. The hotel staff is very friendly, the cocktails are very good and the hotel is quiet. But the best thing is the beach, huge, clean, beautiful, practically only for hotel guests

If you’ve ever dreamed of stepping into a fairytale, *Iggabara Hobbit House* is the place to make that dream come true. Nestled in the lush greenery of the Sri Lankan countryside, this unique and whimsical accommodation offers an experience unlike any other. From the moment we arrived, we felt like we had been transported into the pages of a storybook. Iggabara Hobbit House is located in a peaceful, rural area surrounded by rolling hills, paddy fields, and tropical forests. The setting is serene and secluded, making it the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The drive to the property itself is an adventure, with scenic views and charming villages along the way. The Hobbit House is an architectural marvel designed to resemble the cosiness. The attention to detail is incredible – from the round doors and windows to the curved walls and rustic decor. We stayed in one of the Hobbit-style rooms, which was surprisingly spacious and comfortable. The bed was cozy, and the room was equipped with modern amenities like air conditioning and a private bathroom, all while maintaining its magical, rustic charm. The meals at Iggabara Hobbit House were a highlight of my stay. The kitchen serves delicious, home-cooked Sri Lankan meals made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Dining on the terrace, surrounded by nature, was an unforgettable experience. The breakfast, which included traditional Sri Lankan hoppers, fresh fruit, and tea, was the perfect way to start the day. The hospitality at Iggabara Hobbit House was warm, genuine, and heartfelt. The staff went out of their way to make us feel at home, and their kindness added to the magical atmosphere of the place. They were always available to help with anything we needed. At night, the property is lit up with fairy lights, creating a truly enchanting atmosphere. 15 minutes by walk or 5 mins by Tuk Tuk, and you reach the Turtle beach and some local restaurants.

Such an amazing place with great staff and lovely dogs. Everything is well maintained and it doesn‘t matter what you need, they are always here to help! Beautiful place between the lagoon and the sea. We really loved our stay here and can‘t recommend it more!!!! Just perfect!!!!

The location next to and view of the lagoon are great, we were able to see a great variety of wildlife. The beach is in walking distance. Our host was super friendly and welcoming, organized tuktuks, transfer, and a turtle walk for us, all the food was homemade and delicious, overall would recommend!

It's a very nice boutique hotel. There was only one other family who were staying at the hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was amazing! The furniture and design in the hotel is super cool. Our room was a little bit small, but it was okay because we only stayed one night. The wifi wasn't available everywhere. The pool was really nice and clean.

    An outstandingly beautiful and peaceful location on the edge of the lagoon. The accommodation, pool area and restaurant were all immaculately clean. Very few insects which was a surprise given how close we were to the water. I hope it stays as low key in the future because it is a great place to come for a peaceful stay with a touch of simple luxury.

    Beautiful hotel with only a few rooms and the most wonderful staff. The beach is gorgeous with rough waves but almost completely deserted besides a few hotel guests. Hemal, the chefs and other staff members really go the extra mile to make sure you have the most perfect stay. Total tranquility, exceptional service and also amazing cuisine!

    The property was very well maintained with a very high standards of cleanliness with all the best amenities. The service provided by the staff deserves 5 stars as they attended to all of our needs and expectations.The food was out of this world with a fine dining experience. Without a doubt these guys have taken hospitality to another level. By far the best boutique hotel we have been to in Sri Lanka and we would definitely recommend Maya Tangalle to anyone who wishes to experience a calm, quiet and luxurious vacation!
