Woodland Sanctuary is a truly magical place to stay. The villas are beautifully designed with elevated, barrel-shaped rooms, spacious decks, and open-air tropical bathrooms that allow you to enjoy nature while maintaining privacy. The pool is perfect for cooling off after a day of exploring. Maleesha, the host, is incredible—attentive, friendly, and very knowledgeable. He went out of his way to arrange an unforgettable private safari that gave us a close-up experience of the local wildlife, as well as an authentic Ayurvedic spa treatment that left us feeling completely rejuvenated. Everything about this stay was beyond expectations.

Absolutely fantastic stay! Place is brand new, the rooms are specious and the bathroom is huge and comfortable. The private pool and nice terrace were our highlight and spent plenty of time there. It is located slightly on the outside of town, but also walking distance from everything you need, so we loved it. Great to watch the fruit and veggie garden. Also have to mention fantastic manager, who took such a great care of us, answered all of our questions and request.

This is our second stay at Sigiriya Kings Resort, and it’s just as amazing as we remembered from 2019. The team and owners are as welcoming and friendly as ever, making you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. We had both dinner and breakfast at the resort during our stay, and both were exceptional. The dinner was a perfect blend of flavors, beautifully prepared, and served in a lovely setting.
