We stayed in the 2 BR villa called the Farmhouse, in a fully enclosed and secure area populated by wandering wildebeest, springbok and other birds and animals. The unit was well-spaced from other units. It was well built of concrete, tastefully furnished and supplied with high quality sheets and towels. The kitchen was generously provisioned with a multi-function oven, gas oven, and plenty of crockery and cookware, towels and rubbish bags. There was an outside under-cover dining/lounge room with a brai and spa. There were 2 large bedrooms with lockable connecting door. Contact with our hosts was virtual, but they responded quickly and were helpful. There was plenty of opportunity to spot animals from the house and on walks in the neighbourhood.

The staff has been exceptional and well trained, super helpful and friendly. A proper warm South African welcome. The food (almost too much of it) the heated pool, the spa, the drinks on the deck, the game drives, the views, rooms are super clean and fresh towels whenever you need. There really isn’t anything not to like. It was a magical restful time and exactly what we needed after a crazy year.

Incredible location well located in Hoedspruit! Ruan and his family (owners of the lodge) were super welcoming and so friendly. They let their home become ours which was a very personal touch! Its the perfect place to make a short break if you are doing safari in Kruger. It has e restaurant with friendly staff and a very good kitchen. The rooms are quite big and the garden around the pool area is just stunning. There is also a three stories high lookout- perfect to enjoy your sundowner. I can really recommend this place

We did a number of full day or half day activities which the proprietor helped to arrange for us and every detail was worked out, ensuring all we had to do was relax and be wowed. Returning to the luxury of the lodge and cooling off in the pool and the stunning grounds was a perfect way to finish off those days. We supplemented the chilling out process with drinks from the expertly curated selection of fine South African wines or beers, spirits and soft drinks. The interior of the lodge and the private suite could only be described as luxurious opulence furnished with many beautiful African artefacts. And as if all of that is not enough we enjoyed ample beautifully prepared and presented breakfasts. We were also privileged to play host to families of nyalas and warthogs who visited the area just outside our bedroom window and patio doors to feast on fallen amarula fruits. Wow wow wow !!!
