Riverside Guest Lodge offers panoramic views of Grobbelaars River and Swartberg Mountains. It offers air-conditioned rooms and wooden cottages. Never have I been to place with such attention to detail and comfort. In a quiet beautiful area, the room we stayed in was a treat! We were glad we stayed at least 2 nights to enjoy. The bar is a lot of fun, the breakfast is absolutely fantastic and there is a large variety to choose from if you are staying longer! Next time in Oudtshoorn will definitely be spent here!

Not only was the food (even catered for vegan) fantastic, but the ability to hike and mountain bike around this huge reserve gave us real freedom to experience the land and wildlife. Located in the Assegaay Nature Reserve just outside the town of VanWyksdorp, Rooiberg Lodge features an outdoor swimming pool and on-site restaurant all surrounded by the Rooiberg Mountain Range. Restaurant, staff and grounds were all immaculate. The area is remote and quiet. The accommodations here make the trip worthwhile! The service by all the staff was incredible.

Sanbona Wildlife Reserve is an authentic and contrasting natural space, conveniently located along Route 62, a mere 3.5 hours from Cape Town in the arid Little Karoo. We really appreciated the fact that Sanbona has a meaningful mission. The staff were amazing and have tended to all of our needs. The food and the reserve grounds in the selves are beautiful. Highly recommended.
