After one week on Kilimanjaro mountain with very basic conditions, we were pleasantly surprised by the beauty and quietness of this lodge. It gives the impression that you are in the middle of nature as its quiet, green and spacious. People are very nice and ready to help you whenever needed. The food was delicious, I had the best chicken stroganoff :)

The view from the dining room deck is one the best I experienced in all my travels overlooking Mt Meru. As a bonus the location is just off the main route from Arusha to the major wildlife parks.

The food at the different meals is varied, fresh and delicious. Our room was extremely comfortable with a nice, large bed.

An impressive Lodge nestled in the coffee fields of Arusha. Not only offering lovely cabins with luxurious bedding and bathrooms, but also a nice pool to dip in after a long day of safari - or work in my case. A big plus is their community work: Shanga workshop employing disabled and deaf people from around Arusha area is located on the grounds. And a zuri café called "kahawa" (Swahili for coffee;). You then totally realize you are in Africa when the breakfast has to be watched over by game keeper - because of the monkey families living on the premises. Definitively a stay to come back to!

Beautiful garden area and the rooms were extremely comfortable and quiet! We didn’t try out the pool but it seemed nice. Food takes a long time (and they do tell you this in advance) but the samosas were some of the best I’ve had since I moved here. We also saw a nice sized chameleon by our room!

There’s a homey feel Kobe Homestay has that draws you in and makes you relax. Been traveling for over a month now and this felt like a home away from home. The decor is so cute! All around the house, you’ll find antiques from the 90s and other decades. The nostalgia definitely hits when you see them. The fact that it is a walking distance from the city makes more special. There are several kiosks to shop if you’ll want to make your own meals.
