Senora is 4 k’s from town and is genuinely surrounded by jungle. Puerto Viejo is busy so I was so glad to reach the serenity of Senora. Anastasia is a beautiful host and the breakfasts were delicious. The yoga room looked amazing, although we didn’t have a chance to do a class! This a wonderful place to decompress and recharge. We hired bikes from a nearby place and rode everywhere which was brilliant. I loved our stay here.

The moment we entered we knew we would never want to leave. In the middle of the jungle, surrounded by monkeys and a few steps away from the beach, a beautiful big cabin with everything we needed. Carlos the manager was great and even called us when a sloth came near the reception, the beach was fantastic, many restaurants nearby. It was a dream.

The site is phenomenal - we explored the grounds and loved the nature. The staff were amazing they went above and beyond. Cabin was beautiful and totally allowed disconnection from the world. Lovely breakfast - all fresh from the garden. We loved it.

The view from the bungalow was green and calming. The staff were warm and very helpful. Breakfast area lovely and food good. It was a nice sanctuary after a busy day. The bungalows are comfortable and well equipped as is the common kitchen area. The grounds are beautiful and full of wildlife. Very quiet and peaceful. We liked it so much we came back for 4 more days!

The most special stay on our entire Costa Rica trip. The houses are built inside the stretch of a beautiful selva, with direct access to the pristine, unspoiled beach. We were surrounded by sounds and sightings of wildlife on our walks to and from the beach, and when enjoying our time at the house. The love, attention and effort that goes into the maintenance of this amazing place is truly incredible. Everything works perfectly, from showers to kitchen utilities and all other comforts. Marisol took great care of us and helped us to spot sloths, toucans and howler monkeys. One of our closest wildlife encounters on the trip also took place at Congo Bongo. Following Marisol’s recommendation, we had two dinners at the local restaurant Mista Cook, it was delicious. Muchas gracias, we will be back!

Playa Negra Guesthouse is located in Cahuita, right in front of the beach. All units feature a seating area. Some units have a terrace and/or balcony with pool or garden views. The owner was super friendly. The house is located in a beautiful garden, basically your own private nature reserve with sloths, birds, frogs, aguri and more.

Situated 5 km awayfrom Cahuita in the Limon Region and 18 km from Puerto Viejo, Passion Fruit Lodge boasts an outdoor pool and views of the tropical garden. Cocles is 20 km from the property. The entire property was magnificent, lush vgetation, expertly landscaped. The vegetation also gives each unit privacy. The hosts are delightful, plaeasant, informative and always eager to answer questions and make suggestions to enhance your vacation. The dwellings and property are spotless. Because the property is in the jungle, the sounds of nature are all around. It is easy to get to the national park in Cauhita. We rented bikes as our mode of transportation but the property is best enjoyed with a vehicle. The pool is magnificent, large and surrounded by natural vegetation.

This was a little vacation to celebrate life and man, we hit jackpot!! Gianluca was a great host with super clear directions, and he helped us map potential places to visit and go eat. I forgot to take pictures, but the lodge was absolutely gorgeous, and our room had all that you needed for visiting Cahuita. Offering a year-round outdoor pool and tropical garden, La Rana De Cahuita is set 5 km away from the centre of Cahuita. Puerto Viejo is 18 km from the property. Pool is fantastic. Super host.
