We had a great time at Alta Cabana in Bucana, Palawan. John Dee, the host, was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay - And we had a lot of fun together! He organized transport and mopeds for us, making everything more convenient. On our last day, he even gave us a ride to El Nido, which was much appreciated. The breakfast was tasty, especially the pancakes, and the dinner we shared with John Dee was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. He’s a really good cook! The cabanas were small but comfortable, and it was a simple yet pleasant experience and. The aircondition worked perfectly. The location is peaceful, away from the hustle and bustle of El Nido town. It’s just a 5-minute moped ride to Duli Beach, which was perfect for us. We’re excited to see how John Dee’s place develops in the future and would love to come back!

If you like you are looking for something unique and to be truly immersed in nature, you MUST stay here. Five reasons why: 1. Great location, Nacpan Beach is like a postcard and the eco Sanctuaries is located on the most private part with a gorgeous natural setting, but within a walking distance from other bars and restaurants 2. Tasty food, the restaurant offers by far the best food on the beach. We highly recommend the five course meal on the beach, incredible Filipino fusion dishes under the setting sun 3. Relaxing yoga, we had a great teacher (Lisa!). Yoga was great way to start the day and added to the zen feeling at the sanctuary 4. Unique lodge, the lodge is lovely, comfy bed (with good quality bedding) in a nice garden (there is no aircon, good for the environment!, but there is a fan and enough airflow) 5. Fantastic staff, superfriendly and personal service, they even remembered our preference! Even after our stay there were there to help us recover an item we left behind, they went above and beyond for us! 10 out of 10, we were sad to leave and would definitely come back

Quiet, beachfront location it was perfect. The staff were always extremely helpful and polite. Food was excellent and holiday makers even came from other hotels along the beach in the noisy part to eat here as it is so good. The lodges were cleaned every day to a very high standard. The location is like paradise. I honestly could not fault it. Very peaceful in the evening. No loud music and you can fall asleep, listening to the waves.

Nacpan beach is amazing - a long stretch of white sand with crystal clear water. Eco Sanctuaries definitely has the prime location on the stretch with the best section of beach and the lodges are steps away from the water. Falling asleep to the sound of waves was a real treat. I loved seeing what a solar powered resort could be. I hope the green ethos permeates and Nacpan does not get over developed like so many other beaches. Eco Sanctuaries demonstrates what can be accomplished without an harming the environment and should be applauded.
