    Location was perfect, really cozy area and close to several metros. Walking distance from the more vibrant Ueno station area and Ueno park (which was our favorite area in all of Tokyo) and to Asakusa. Staff was excellent, very helpful and kind! Made us feel very welcomed to Tokyo. Nice entrance/lobby with seatings, tea kettle, microwaves and some utensils. Very, very clean all over! Good AC in the dorm room.

Room was great for our family of 4, while room slept 6 it meant it was bigger to accommodate our two teens who need a bit of space after big days of sight seeing. Really clean and well maintained.     Great location - walking distance to Ueno Station where you can catch all the train lines and the Shinkansen. Also great for travellers like us who like to go for a run or some exercise. The Ueno park is right outside. Space was small but cozy, has all the things you’d need to stay comfortably.

    The location was great. Easy access to the Yamanote Line and a short walk away from Ueno Park. We only stayed here for 1 night before our flight home as it was convenient. We shipped our luggage to the hotel from Takayama and had no problems.

  • Wear VERY good walking shoes.

    Wear VERY good walking shoes. Ueno Park and Asakusa are great places to walk around on foot. But you are going to have to use public transportation at some point on your trip.
