Due to super heavy snow, we changed our travel plan and booked the hotel in the last minute without much research. It turned out to be a super nice hotel. Check in was super quick. Our corner room has two beds plus sofa and is very spacious and super comfortable. The hotel is across the street from Morioka station. From our room we can see the station. The staff is very friendly too. The hotel has an open drink bar in the evenings where you can help yourself to tea/coffee and all kinds of juice/soda in the 2nd floor restaurant. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet which has many variety of Japanese and western choices. There is a convenient store on the first floor too.

Space. It is a common comment how tiny Japanese rooms are. Daiwa Roynet Morioka has a surprisingly big room. Not only in terms of area, but also how the space is maximized. The toilet has clear seggregation between shower and others. Laundry. They have coin laundry so there is no need to find and go to one. Very near the train station

The rooms are very basic but this hotel is the perfect option for budget travelers. You can get a complimentary coffee and the vending machine is offering the very good Bearen beer (local craft beer) at 400 yen.

    Proximity to Morioka station and the center of town. Staff are very friendly are accommodating of requests of room change. Old hotel but very clean and nicely maintained. With luck and upgrades, you have a view of the mountain Iwaki from the room;truly magnificent view.

    The hotel is 15-minute walk from Morioka Station, but I'm so glad I chose this hotel. From Morioka Station, you should go to the north exit. To get to the hotel, you will go over a bridge, across Kitakami river, and the scenery is just spectacular. The area is very central with a lot of restaurants and shops. The room size is good compared to other hotels in Japan. I love breakfast here too.

    We chose this hotel because it is next to Morioka station. When we arrived we realised it was actually adjoining which was a bonus. The hotel is very new and modern and exceptionally clean. We noticed that there was a section of rooms for female guests only with separate security access. Value for money given the location and facilities was fantastic.

    The location of the hotel is amazing; directly across from Morioka station. It is also close to lots of eateries and a mall as well. The room was very big (by Japan hotel standards). The lobby was also connected to a Lawsons, amazingly convenient!

    Beautiful hotel and our room was beautiful and spacious. It's about 14 minuets walk from Morioka station at a very lively area with lots of restaurants and izakayas, and it's very close to the castle (we took a taxi to get to the hotel and it was very cheap). There's a starbacks that's a part of the hotel. The staff were great and did their best to help. The breakfast buffe was great (mainly japanese food)
